At the July 16, 2018 City Council meeting Deputy Mayor Keith Britton presented the suggestions and findings of the Senior Committee to the Oviedo City Council.
The report, among other things, outlined five (5) key recommendations to council to consider.
1.) A dedicated community center to house senior programming.
2.) Improved communication on behalf of the City to its senior population.
3.) Dedicated staff to administer priorities 1 and 2.
4.) Improved transportation options for seniors.
5.) Expanded programming based on the recommendations from senior committee, meetings, and community’s desires indicated in the senior programming survey.
