Mitchell Hammock Rd./Clara Lee Evans Wy. Traffic Signal
The new traffic signal at the intersection of Mitchell Hammock Road and Clara Lee Evans Way is currently flashing. On Monday, March 10th at 9:00 a.m., Seminole County is anticipating turning on the traffic signal, making it fully operational. Please use caution when driving in this area.
Evans Street Roadway Improvement Project
Construction for the Evans Street Roadway Improvement Project will begin on Wednesday, February 5th. The project includes the following:
- Milling and resurfacing existing roadway from CR 419 east to the lift station.
- Installation of curb and gutter on the south side of the road.
- Installation of storm pipe and inlets on the south side of the road.
- Construction of a two-lane road from the lift station east to Lockwood Blvd., the dirt portion of Evans St.
- Minor improvements to include driveway reconstruction, swale improvements, and fencing.
Ranger Construction will be the contractor. Maintenance of traffic will be set up throughout the project. Intermittent delays may occur due to single lane closures. Also, please note the contractor will be closing the section of Evans Street from just east of the lift station to Lockwood Blvd., the dirt portion of Evans St.
Substantial completion is scheduled for June 2014.

Lockwood Blvd./Seminole Creek Dr. Median Improvements Project
Construction for the Lockwood Blvd./Seminole Creek Dr. Median Improvements Project is scheduled to begin on February 3rd. The project includes construction of a new northbound left turn lane on Lockwood Blvd., widening of Lockwood Blvd. to accomodate the new turn lane, installation of curbing, installation of storm structure, median improvements, milling, and resurfacing.
Allstate Paving will be the contractor. Maintenance of traffic will be setup throughout the project. Intermittent delays may occur due to single lane closures. Seminole Creek Drive will be accessible throughout construction.

FDOT Resurfacing Project
The Florida Department of Transportation and Southland Construction began two roadway improvement projects in Seminole County on August 26, 2013. The projects consist of milling and resurfacing the exiting SR 434/419 from Jetta Point Drive to North of Mitchell Hammock Road, and SR 426 from Pine Avenue to SR 434. Expect intermittent lane closures.
