Meetings are subject to change. Current City Council meeting agendas are posted the Monday prior to the meeting. Future meeting dates are listed on the bottom of each posted agenda. Work sessions are scheduled as needed.
City Council meetings are currently televised live on Spectrum Cable channel 496. Meetings may also be streamed live via the web through the City's YouTube Channel. A video of the meeting will also be posted on the agendas and minuets page in the days following an Oviedo City Council meeting.
Agendas are available prior to the meetings. Minutes are available following approval.
The City Council is the five-member elected legislative and governing body of the City responsible for establishing policies, managing growth and land use, adopting an annual budget and tax rate, setting water rates, wastewater rates and other fees and charges for City services, adopting local laws and ordinances and hiring and overseeing the City Manager.
All City Council members and the Mayor serve two-year terms, are elected “at large” and must reside within the City to be an elected representative.
