About the Lifeguard Camp
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a lifeguard? What are the skills, knowledge and attributes of a professional lifeguard? The Junior Lifeguard Camp explores what it takes to be a lifeguard. Many of the skills learn/developed helps put the Junior Lifeguard in good position for future lifeguard course participation. The camp covers the following topics:
- Water safety
- Rescues
- CPR/First Aid
- Role of a lifeguard
- Physical fitness training
- Stroke development
The camp members must be between the ages of 10 and 15. Participants must bring water, sunscreen, athletic clothes, running shoes, and proper swimming attire. Snacks will be provided. Each camp is 4 classes and each camper is expected to attend all 4. For more information, contact the Head Lifeguards.
