Training Cudas Swim Team

Kids swimming in a pool.The Training Cudas Swim Team is a novice swim training program designed for youth ages 6 to 13 year old.

The team is set up as a training team only during the school year; they will not compete in swim meets. The purpose is to work on endurance and strokes. The team meets at the Oviedo Aquatic Facility.

Practices

Practices are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Registration

Thursday, August 5th at 8:00am

Each month is open until full.  Please be advised that if the 7 p.m. Training Cudas does not have a minimum of 20 enrollees at the start of each month, then unfortunately the 7 p.m. Training Cudas will have to be cancelled for the month.   

Try-Outs

If your swimmer is new to the team, they must complete a try-out prior to registration. The try-out consists of 50 yards of Freestyle non-stop with side breathing, 25 yards of Backstroke, and 15 yards of Breaststroke.  Try-outs are held anytime during the operating hours of the Aquatic Facility.  All anyone needs to do for a swim test is arrive dressed and ready to get in the water and make their way out to the pool deck and let the lifeguards know they are there for a Training Cuda swim test.

Payment

Once on the team, you have the option of prepaying for the following months. However, payment for the each month is due on the due date. Anyone paying late will lose their spot on the team due to the high demand of swimmers. Once the due date has passed, the swimmers on the waiting list will be called if there is space available.
