Art in the Chambers
The third Art in the Chambers exhibition is currently on display with paintings by Ms. Kathleen Safi, who is a local artist. Ms. Safi holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Florida and an M.Ed. from the American College of Education. Ms. Safi defines herself as a self-taught artist who developed her skills through a disciplined daily painting practice. Working primarily in acrylic and collage, she creates pieces rooted in the vibrant life of Central Florida, where she lives and works. Her current work explores the quiet rhythms and shared experiences that draw us together as a community. Additional information on Ms. Safi’s artwork may be seen on her website link: www.kathleensafi.com. The free exhibition will be open to the public from November 3, 2025 until March 2, 2025 during regular office hours. Some of the paintings are for sale, and 25% of the sale amount will be donated to the Public Art Fund.

Our Police and Fire Departments want to remind everyone to practice safety this holiday season. With Thanksgiving, followed by Black Friday holiday shopping, we want to provide some tips to keep you and your family safe this season!
|
|

|
Do not drink and driveImpaired driving can lead to serious injuries or death on the road. We know everyone wants to have a good time and enjoy the holidays, but please be responsible when it comes to grabbing the keys and heading home or to another location. If you plan on drinking, please have a plan if you decide to travel: - Have a designated driver who will be the sober driver.
- Plan on using a ride-share such as Uber or Lyft.
- Leave the keys. If you drove to a location, leave the keys/car until you can pick it up when you sober up.
- Always use seatbelts if you are the passenger.
- Think about other drivers. You are a danger not just to yourself, but to other drivers trying to get home.

Holiday Shopping - Be Aware, Be SafeHoliday Shopping can be a fun time for the entire family as you go out and purchase gifts. Oviedo Police want you to keep an eye on your surroundings when you are shopping. Place bags and boxes in the truck of the car or if you only have a hatch, cover the packages up with blankets so thieves cannot see them. Always lock your car doors. Remove all packages from the car when you get home. Practice the 9PM Routine and make sure everything is out. If you are purchasing large electronic items, do not let them out of your sight. Bring them inside and keep them secure inside the home. IF YOU ARE ORDERING ONLINE, THWART THE PORCH PIRATES!Porch Pirates can strike anywhere at anytime. They are no longer thieves in the night, but during the daylight hours also. These thieves approach homes across are area to steal packages you've ordered online.
