Professional experiences of Bryan Cobb
Bryan Cobb has served as Oviedo’s City Manager since October of 2013. Mr. Cobb has served the City of Oviedo for 21 years, joining the City as the Senior Planner in 1995. In June 1998, he was appointed to Development Review Manager. Later in October 1998, he was appointed to Planning Director directly overseeing the Planning, Zoning, and Development Review staffs.
In 2004, Mr. Cobb became Development Services Director overseeing the Planning, Development Review, Building Services, and Code Enforcement staffs. In 2011, he was appointed Assistant City Manager directly overseeing the Recreation and Parks, Development Services, and Public Works Departments. After serving as Interim City Manager for 6 months, the City Council appointed Mr. Cobb to his current role of City Manager in October 2013.
Prior to Oviedo, Mr. Cobb served as Principle Planner for the City of Cape Coral, Florida, and Transportation Planning Coordinator for the City of Kingsport, Tennessee.
Personal Life
Mr. Cobb and his wife Beth have 3 children. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He is a member of Cross Life Church in Oviedo, Vice President of the Florida Kraze Krush Soccer Club, and a member of Leadership Seminole Class 14.
