Lisa McDonald has been a professional communicator/Public Information Officer since 2017. Prior to 2017, Lisa spent 19 years working in television news, at the breaking news desk for two different Orlando area t.v. stations. Lisa has worked in municipal and county government after transitioning from television to public information. She brings her videography, editing and writing skills to the City to help engage the community. Lisa is a certified Advanced Public Information Officer, having studied at the National Disaster and Emergency Management University in Emmitsburg, MD.
Lisa graduated with a Communications degree from the University of Central Florida and grew up in Winter Park. Lisa has one son who is currently serving as an aviation machinist in the U.S. Navy and stationed abroad. Lisa is also a certified Yoga instructor and has been teaching yoga since 2010. She has lived in the Oviedo area for over 16 years and has watched the community grow and thrive over time. Her favorite things about the City are the Aquatics Center, Oviedo on the Park, and the natural woodland and waterways the city has to offer.
