The City of Oviedo does not maintain street lights or electricity service within the City. Depending on the location of the street light within the City limits, there are two different companies that handle street lights (and consequently all power related utilities).
In an effort to help alleviate the growing demand of the Florida Aquifer, the City of Oviedo employs a full-time Water Conservation Coordinator. This position, along with the City Council and City Staff, is partnering with residents, commercial customers, the St. Johns River Water Management District, and other utilities to create “Water Stewards.”
